Family Learning Sept 2011-July 2012
Family Learning is FREE. All Family Learning courses will be on a Tuesday morning for 6 weeks. Starting at 9:00am in the Meeting Room in the school. The courses will all finish at 11:30am.
Family Learning at Wigmore Primary School and Children's Centre is run by Luton Adult Community Learning. Family Learning invites parents into their child's classroom so parents can gain a better understanding of how their children are taught subjects in school, and how they can help their child at home. There is an option for parents to stay on after the 6 weeks and gain a qualification if they want to.
Autumn Term - Year 1 Literacy - All year 1 parents are invited.
Tuesday 20th September, 9:00am in the Children's Centre - Coffee Morning to meet the tutor and find out more about the course. Young children/babies welcome to come to this meeting.Tuesday 27th September, 9:00am in the School Meeting Room - 1st session of the 6 weeks family learning with the children.Tuesday 1st November, 9:00am in the school Meeting Room - Parents can stay on to gain a qualification until the end of term.
Spring Term - Foundation EYFS - All foundation parents are invited.
Tuesday 10th January, 9:00am in the Children's Centre - Coffee Morning to meet the tutor and find out more about the course. Young children/babies welcome to come to this meeting.Tuesday 17th January, 9:00am in the School Meeting Room - 1st session of the 6 weeks family learning with the children.Tuesday 6th March, 9:00am in the school Meeting Room - Parents can stay on to gain a qualification until the end of term.
Summer Term - Year 3 Numeracy - All year 3 parents are invited.
Tuesday 24th April, 9:00am in the Children's Centre - Coffee Morning to meet the tutor and find out more about the course. Young children/babies welcome to come to this meeting.Tuesday 1st May, 9:00am in the School Meeting Room - 1st session of the 6 weeks family learning with the children.Tuesday 19th June, 9:00am in the school Meeting Room - Parents can stay on to gain a qualification until the end of term.
If you have a baby or child and need a place in the creche, you will need to attend the coffee morning to let the tutor know that you need a creche space. The creche is free.
